A comprehensive redevelopment strategy focused on the 71st Street District. CorridorLive uses a two-pronged approach to transform commercial corridors:
Short-term stabilization; Providing resources to property/business owners for facade upgrades and signage.
Long-term acquisition; Promotes community asset ownership through redevelopment of vacant and underutilized properties and through a legal mechanism (Community Investment Vehicle-CIV) designed for residents to pool their resources together to acquire properties.
A grassroots initiative creating a comprehensive community improvement plan across seven pillars: Economic Development, Housing, Art & Culture, Education, Health & Wellness, Stewardship & Beautification, and Resident Engagement. In 2025, the QLP engaged diverse stakeholders, established committee infrastructure, provided capacity-building training to community leaders, and successfully launched several key programs.
A pioneering strategy empowering South Shore residents through community ownership of local commercial assets. The CIV framework fosters resident-driven development and equitable wealth-building, ensuring local stakeholders maintain control over South Shore’s economic trajectory. By reducing blight, creating ownership opportunities, and attracting new businesses, the CIV circulates dollars within the local economy.
